Who we are

Easy AI ("the app") is a Shopify application that helps merchants improve their product and collection content using AI, with every change reviewed and approved by the merchant. Contact: dylanweymouth@gmail.com.

What data we collect and why

When you install the app, we store:

• Store information: your myshopify domain and an access token so the app can read and update your catalogue with your permission.
• Catalogue data: your products and collections (titles, descriptions, tags, SEO fields, images metadata, variant SKUs, metafields) — the content the app exists to improve.
• Your settings: the brand voice and writing rules you provide.
• Usage records: credit balance and generation history for billing.

We do not collect, store, or process your customers' personal data. The app requests only product read/write permissions — it has no access to customer records, orders, or payment information.

AI processing

To generate suggestions, your product content and writing guidelines are sent to Anthropic (the provider of the Claude AI model) for processing. This content is limited to catalogue data — never customer data. Anthropic's handling of API data is described in their commercial terms; API inputs are not used to train their models.

Storage and security

Data is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database hosted on Render, encrypted in transit and at rest. Each store's data is isolated and never visible to any other store.

Data retention and deletion

When you uninstall the app, all of your store's data — catalogue copies, settings, suggestions, and history — is deleted automatically. We also honour Shopify's GDPR webhooks: shop data erasure requests are processed automatically, and customer data requests are trivially satisfied since we hold no customer data.

Sharing

We do not sell or share your data with any third party, except the processing described above (Anthropic for AI generation, Render for hosting) and as required by law.
